Ceremonial Opening of the New Law Term

The Ceremonial Opening of the 2018-2019 Law Term of the Supreme Court of Judicature of Trinidad and Tobago took place on Monday 17th September 2018. The ceremony began with an inter-religious Service of Divine Worship at the of the City Hall Auditorium, 2-4 Knox Street, Port of Spain at 10:00 a.m. Members of the Industrial Court, members of the Tax Appeal Board, members of the Environmental Commission, Magistrates and Attorneys-at-Law, the Honourable Judges of the Supreme Court of Judicature and Masters of the High Court for the service were in attendance.

After the service, there was a procession from the City Hall Auditorium along Knox Street, to the Hall of Justice. The Honourable the Chief Justice Mr Justice Ivor Archie thereafter inspected a Parade drawn up on Knox Street by the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force. Following the inspection of the Parade, The Honourable the Chief Justice took the salute at the podium in front of the Hall of Justice on Knox Street.
